First Night Saratoga 5K Run @ Skidmore College Athletic Complex

Start and finish on the beautiful Skidmore campus. The first ¾ mile is a gradual uphill on the perimeter road. The course exits the campus at Clinton Avenue and continues to Greenfield Avenue, continuing up North Broadway and back to campus. This is a moderately challenging course, including both hills and downgrades.

Limited to 1,500 Runners: Due to the overwhelming success of this run, and having to close-out registration several years in a row, there will be no day of race registration.

Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe @ Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park

Join us at the popular and highly anticipated Annual Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe at Camp Saratoga on Scout Road. Luminaries will glow along 2.5 miles of groomed trails. Along the way, you will find fields and forests, warming bonfires, and plenty of hot chocolate! The terrain is suitable for all levels and ages and includes a smaller 1-mile loop.
Participants can drop-in anytime during the evening; no registration is needed.
Snowshoes will be available on a first-come-first-served basis in the I.P. Winter Lodge off of Parking lot #2. The rental fee is $5/ person for non-members.

There will be a bake sale in the Winter Lodge with lots of great home-baked goodies.
This event is weather permitting, icy or poor trail conditions can result in the event being canceled.

Get ready to enjoy a great weekend of dancing, dipping, and whirling with thousands of other spirited dancers! Each February over President’s Day weekend, Saratoga Springs hosts the annual Flurry Festival. The weekend-long festival draws dancers of all ages, abilities, and styles of dance.

Dancers can participate in a variety of workshops and programs designed for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. And there’s more than just dancing! The festival also includes an array of performances, singing, concerts, jamming, storytelling, vendors, and more. It’s the perfect event to bring your dancing and non-dancing friends with you! Don’t miss it!

Ice Breaker Challenge 5K

The Ice Breaker Challenge is a one of a kind Capital District running/walking road race challenging runners and walkers against rowers from the Albany Rowing Center. Runners/walkers will travel along the Corning Preserve Bicycle Path while rowers from the Albany Rowing Center will race alongside in shells on the Hudson River. Come join us for this unique and exciting event at the Albany Rowing Center Boathouse in the Corning Preserve.

Home Away From Home 5K/Half Marathon/Marathon @ Brittonkill Central School

About This Activity

Join us in Brunswick, New York, for a scenic 5K, half marathon, or marathon to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region. The 5K and half marathons are an out-and-back course. The marathon includes hills and dirt roads and offers beautiful mountain views.

Have little runners too? We are also offering a Kid’s Fun Run, so sign them up today!

Online registration is open until midnight on April 14, 2018. If you wish to register in person the morning of the race, we will be accepting CASH ONLY.

Event details and schedule

The 5K, half marathon, and marathon will all begin in the Brittonkill School parking lot.

The 5K and half marathon will go out and back on Tamarac Road (turnaround points will be CLEARLY marked and there will be aid stations for both distances), and end with a lap around the Brittonkill School track. The marathon course includes hills and sections of dirt road and offers the most beautiful mountain views, also ending with a lap around the Brittonkill School track.

Packet and bib pick-up will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, April 20th, in the Brittonkill School parking lot. If you are local, please consider stopping by on Friday night. Packets and bibs will also be available for pick-up starting at 8:00 on race morning.

Please arrive around 8:00 for a 9:00 start. There is parking at the school, and additional parking across the street at the soccer complex if needed.

Full and detailed race morning schedule, packet pick-up times, and raffle items will be posted to the event Facebook page.

Medals for all participants are included in entry fee. T-shirts are available at an additional cost until March 31, 2018.

This event IS NOT affiliated with the “Make it a Great Day” half marathon.

All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.
